Pfizer’s Musical Chairs; Brandt is Gone

The executive shuffling has begun as the big drugmaker undergoes corporate convulsion.
For one, Peter Brandt, who headed the U.S. pharma biz, is retiring. His position was eliminated in the reorg, because the domestic apparatus is being split into four parts for different therapeutic categories, along with a fifth overseeing customer support. And each one reports to Ian Read, who heads global pharma.
Here’s the who’s who:
Olivier Brandicourt, senior vp/general mgr for cardiovascular and metabolic (was country mgr for UK/Ireland);
Carl Wilbanks, senior vp/general manager for urology and respiratory (was exec vp sales, US pharma);
Dee Mahnoey, senior vp/general manager for specialty products (was senior vp sales, US pharma);
Andreas Fibig, senior vp/general manager for central nervous systems and pain (was regional prez for Latin America, Africa and the MidEast);
Marie-Caroline Sainpy, senior vp/general manager for U.S. customer support (was senior vp US marketing).
You can read a little more about these folks in this letter Pfizer ceo Jeff Kindler distributed to employees last summer.
