Enzon Closing NJ Plant

The company is consolidating all of its manufacturing in Indianapolis, a lower-cost venue than New Jersey, where Enzon is headquartered and has maintained facilities. According to a statement, 50 employees are going to be affected. The move, which is part of an ongoing refocusing, will cause Enzon to take charges of between $8M and $10M this year, and a write-off of an estimated $8M related to the leased facility in 2008.
