Ranbaxy Wants to Deal

The Indian generic drugmaker is interested in doing all sorts of things - conducting research for big pharma, making authorized generics and buying other generics, ceo Malvinder Singh tells The Wall Street Journal.
Given big pharma’s ailing pipelines and the burgeoning market opportunity in Singh’s part of the world, maybe a big drugmaker should just buy Ranbaxy. After all, Novartis went on a shopping spree last year and catapulted itself into the ranks of the world’s largest generic companies.
Maybe this is a little out there. Any thoughts?[tags]Generics, Novartis, Ranbaxy[/tags]
