Investigators want more and more information about off-label shenanigans. This time, however, US Attorneys in three cities - Boston, Philadelphia and San Francisco - want to know about ‘corporate supervision and oversight.’
The drugs at issue: Janssens’ Risperdal for schizophrenia, the Scioc unit’s Natrecor heart med and Ortho-McNeil’s Topamax for migraines.
The investigations aren’t new and were disclosed quite a while ago by the company. But this latest round of subpoenas suggests the level of scrutiny is intensifying and more than just sales reps and their district managers may feel some heat.
J&J says it will cooperate. No further word, though, on the probe into bribes paid by overseas subsidiaries.
