The message boards at CafePharma are unusually nasty these past few days after Pfizer revealed that ceo Jeff Kindler was given a pay package worth $11 million last year and, meanwhile, the drugmaker is eliminating thousands of jobs.
A poll is under way to determine how many reps would like to change his name to Swindler, just leave it at Kindler, or change it to Biff. As of this morning, voting is sparse - of 19 respondents, 17 prefer Swinder and two like Biff. Of course, the results aren’t binding.
Meanwhile, Pfizer is reportedly trying to soften the cost-cutting blow for some employees in Michigan, who are being offered incentives - such as covering losses of up to $100,000 on the sale of a house for workers who choose to relocate to Connecticut. That’s where Pfizer’s research headquarters is located.
