A poll under way at CafePharma asks the Pfizer team the following:

If given the choice to take severance, would you take it? This is the response, so far:

Take the money: 48 votes, or 90.6 percent.
Take it up the…: 5 votes, or 9.4 percent.

Here’s what one respondent wrote about severance: “I was laid off from Pfizer, then asked by my regional manager to stay and take a lateral transfer. Why would I turn down thousands and thousands of dollars to stay at a company that doesn’t properly report their sales data? No Pfizer bonus will ever come close to my severance. And the best part about it is that I’ve been traveling and relaxing all while collecting my paycheck until March 19th. If the option is ever available… take it!”

The poll just began this week and doesn’t close until March 21. So who knows where this is headed. And of course, CafePharma polls are never scientific. But this does provide some insight into what reps are thinking. In this case, they don’t think much of Pfizer.
