New FDA Guidance: What We Talk About When We Talk About Safety

The agency just issued new guidelines for ways to communicate safety issues to the public. This has been in the making for awhile and is widely considered to be a pre-emptive strike against various bills that would force the FDA to do more. The effort also comes after a blistering report last fall by the Institute of Medicine.
