Some of the busy Pfizer sales reps are stopping between appointments to sound off about their employer - again. The latest temperature reading on CafePharma, where overheated detailers love to vent, asks them to answer this: What exactly stinks at the big drugmaker?
So far, just 59 people have voted, suggesting some sales reps have given up on pondering such issues or others are scrambling to boost Exubera sales before it’s too late. The numbers add up higher because it looks like a rep can vote for more than one item. Here’s what they’re saying so far:
The naysayers: 38 reps say senior management stinks, 27 say the same about sales management, and 45 report stinky morale. Eight cite Pfizer sales reps, but a few trolls may have pulled that lever. Another 13 hold their nose at the mention of Peter Rost, the former Pfizer exec turned whistleblower, who continues to chastise the drugmaker over various alleged deeds.
The rose-colored glasses crowd: Just three would hand a bouquet to Jeff and his management team, but sales management would get flowers from four reps. Not surprisingly, 14 reps say their own tribe deserves sweet-scented stems and 6 would give Peter Rost something for his lapel. And finally, just 5 say morale is so good that everyone deserves a rose.
Hurry. Polling ends on April 15.
