Such an interesting week. At the start, there were heavy rains and a flood of earnings reports emerged. As the days wore on, the skies turned sunny and the AstraZeneca scandal came into focus. Now, though, the time for rest has come, to be followed by a jaunt in the car, a romp with the dog, a birthday celebration and a catch with the Little Leaguer.

As for next week, there will be still more earnings from Novartis, Glaxo and Bristol-Myers Squibb, among many others. And several interesting studies about all sorts of issues confronting the pharmaceutical industry will be unveiled. Stay tuned. The days ahead look to be as interesting and challenging as the week just ended.
