The big drugmaker, which is headquartered in New Jersey, but like others already has offices or labs in and around Boston, has just begun construction of a 50,000-square-foot building in nearby Wilmington. The suburb is about 15 miles outside of Beantown and is home to the Baldwin apple.
Others that are expanding their presence in the area include Novartis and Merck, which are taking advantage of the concentration of top-flight universities and hospitals in the vicinity. Wyeth, for instance, has numerous job opernings at its Cambridge and Andover, Mass., locations, which you can see here. Wyeth also has a large facility in Collegeville, Pa.
