‘Janice Soprano’ wants diabetics to use Sanofi’s injectable insulin, or else. Aida Turturro, best known as The Sopranos actress, has signed on with the drugmaker to promote diabetes awareness, according to a Lantus press release. And she’ll travel the country “to share her personal story and discuss the steps she has taken to get her diabetes in control.” She’ll also give speeches to hospitals and with diabetes support groups.

One line from her Sanofi-Aventis script: “I am participating in this campaign to share my story and encourage others with diabetes to check their blood sugar regularly and make sure their A1C level is under control.”

The message: even tough broads check their A1C levels.
