You may recall that Abbott recently filed a lawsuit against Act Up-Paris because the activist group protested the company’s patent row with Thailand by organizing an attack on Abbott’s web site. Act-Up Paris faces a fine up to $100,000 if it loses the suit and could be disbanded. The drugmaker says its lawsuit is justified because the cyber attack interrupted business activities and, by doing so, violated the French penal code.
We asked you whether Abbott was correct to have filed a lawsuit. The polls are still open for a few more hours, so vote here.
