It's basically like Antabuse (the drug that makes you sick when you drink alcohol) for alcohol abstention, only for dietary fat intake. This drug is effective, but only in the 10-15% of patients who can actually tolerate it. ANY dietary indiscretion where you purposefully/mistakenly take in a fatty meal WILL be met with several days of flatulence, incontinence, and bright orange, liquid, oily stool.
