This pen was picked up at a free drug lunch by a practicing US pulmonologist doing volunteer work in Guatemala earlier this year. The drug, Tibonella, an estrogen that’s marketed in Latin America by Colombia’s Chalver Laboratories for menopause and the prevention of osteoporosis. The drug, which also goes by generic name of tibolona or tibolone, was rejected by the FDA last year.
