Yesterday, we wrote that, in the interest of trying something new, we would attempt to do a better job of collecting the comings and goings of all manner of people floating through and around the pharmaceutical industry. Toward that end, we also asked that you send us your latest new hires, promotions, what have you.
So here we have just a few examples:
CV Therapeutics has promoted Lewis Stuart to senior vp of commercial operations. Stuart was sales vp since joining the company in July 2003 and succeeds David McCaleb, who will continue to serve as a consultant to the company. In years past, Stuart ran Agouron’s HIV sales team and directed sales teams for several cardiovascular meds at Bristol Myers Squibb, including Capoten.
Althea Technologies, a manufacturing and development services company, hired Karen Daniels as prez of the the Bio-Services Division. Daniels has held exec jobs at Genetronics, Plexus and TDK before her most recent post at Vidacare, a medical device maker.
Keryx Biopharmaceuticals has hired Bill Kane as vp, commercial operations, which means he’s responsible for such things as brand planning and forecasting, commercial and managed markets communications, advocate development, comprehensive pre-launch and launch initiatives, and field sales. Kane was last at Sepracor, where he was senior vp of marketing and new product planning, focusing on Lunesta. Previously, Kane spent 18 years at Pfizer, where he was the Celebrex team leader.
