For me, the glass is about one-quarter full. There was an opportunity here (theoretically) to do much more. The fact that this bill will become law actually makes additional reform _less_ likely. Thus, an independent office of drug safety, significant fines for false DTC, the end of DTC altogether, severing the relationship between funding and pharma are further away than ever.
