As for risk itself, well, my experience is that its relative. One man's risk is another man's benefit, and vice versa. That really supports my thought that there is no way to quickly approve only the meds that have no possibility of being harmful. The big debate still raging on the ped AD posts is proof that there is much controversy on this subject. I consider the articles in those journals to carry a lot of weight. The size of the studies in the quality of journals cannot be written off as "these are drug company lackeys". There is certainly still a debate, but all information is good. I notice this isn't grabbing the national headlines like the first round talking about how SSRI's are killing our kids got. You won't see this leading the nightly news, or mentioned at all.
