bbc.jpgThe newly approved med, now known as Selzentry, naturally took years to wind its way through Pfizer labs and FDA offices before it was sanctioned for patients. The BBC’s Peter Day was granted access by Pfizer to observe the process and chat with numerous scientists and other employees in order to provide a look at how such a medication gets from here to there.

The 30-minute radio program, which is part of the BBC’s extensive Quest For A Cure series on the pharmaceutical industry, is now available for listening and so we thought a link is in order. Full disclosure: Day and his producer traveled to the Pharmalot bunker in suburban New Jersey to ask a few questions. Our own comments aside, we found the program enlightening.
