The fact that the EMEA is not taking any action on the back of this should be seen as reassuring that the product remains safe." Well that IS reassuring! How can regulators doing nothing for years after a 'few' deaths (a regulatory phenomena which the world is fast becoming accustomed to) until it is their lack of action has resulted in many more deaths - be anything but reassuring...
