HHS Chief Mike Leavitt Cruises Through India

There’s Mike Leavitt, who heads US Health and Human Services, hard at work in India, which he is visiting - along with FDA commish Andy Von Eschenbach - to get a close-up look at food and drug operations in the country. The visit is a precursor to opening a new FDA office in India, newindpress.com reports.
“We are trying to ensure the quality in the entire system of supply chain, right from the seed to the last outlet from where people buy the goods,†he says.
And that’s quite a vantage point he has from the cruise boat, isn’t it? (Mike is in the middle, to the right of Andy).
