Welcome to the working week. We hope your weekend was pleasant. Now, unusually mild weather greets those of us here in the nation’s medicine chest. And that makes it easier to confront the meetings and deadlines that lie ahead. Here are a few items to digest as you return to the routine…

Does Society really need another “Schizo Drug”.
Atlex
Yeah, we do. Current drugs, while better than what were available many years ago still have signficant problems–eg, most of the newer drugs cause moderate to severe metabolic problems. In addition, not every person suffering from schizophrenia is helped by the existing set of drugs.
I know you have a problem with the “misuse” of these drugs. But, that doesn’t mean that we don’t need an effective new alternative.

Atlex,
From your mouth,..To God’s ears. Im all for, a safe, effective new alternative.

Lisa,
I for one am glad to hear you say that we are in need of new therapeutics. I agree with you for once.
If the drugs are indeed as horrible as you continually say that they are, then we are in deep need of new depression and anti-psychosis drugs.
