VIA Pharmaceuticals hired Rebecca Taub as senior vp of R&D;
Roche named Steve Sembler as vp of US commercial operations;
Enzo Biochem named Christine Fischette as prez of its therapeutics subsidiary;
BioCryst Pharma hired Thomas Simon as interim chief medical officer;
Mersana named John van Duzer as vp of manufacturing and pharmaceutical sciences;
Nastech named Bruce York as interim chief financial officer;
Pearl appointed Colin Reisner chief medical officer and executive vp, clinical development;
Pearl named Michael Golden vp, regulatory affairs and quality;
Intercept named Luciano Adorini chief scientific officer;
Chimerix appointed Neil Frazer chief medical officer;
NPS named Alan Harris chief medical officer;
The Structural Genomics Consortium named Chas Bountra, formerly of Glaxo, as chief scientist;
Patrick Ronan, a former FDA chief of staff under FDA commish Andy von Eschenbach, resigned from Novartis Pharmaceuticals where he was vp regulatory policy & external affairs.
