Who Is That Pharmalot Guy?
13 CommentsBy Ed Silverman // May 10th, 2008 // 10:27 am
Although we slave all day and into the night over a warm laptop at the Pharmalot corporate headquarters, every so often we venture out to speak to this or that group about pharma matters or blogging. Recently, for instance, we were invited to speak with Fard Johnmar, who anchors ScribeMedia’s Digital Health Revolution. And since this is a weekend, and presumably you have some time to kick back, we thought we would share the results. Cheers…

This is a truly excellent interview; interesting in a great many ways. And there is even an “Inside the Actor’s Studio” segment at the end. (Ed, I chose your “one-word” self-descriptor about 15 seconds before you did.)
Well done!

Brilliant interview Ed..
Really enjoyed it..
One thing which struck me particularly was the influence and power of blogs and social media ..
You can’t turn off the internet..
Bring on the revolution..

Ed,
Great interview! Congratulations! You are changing the the manner in which people get pharma information today. Pharmlot is a great site for relevant and timely pharmaceutical industry news and interesting comments.

Tried to listen today, but the interview is cutting out after 30 seconds….is it me or the video?

Laurie - I had that problem initially, but it eventually “got traction” and kept going. I just kept hitting play.

Great job Ed. What an interesting area. I guess you just have to be as honest as you can since there are so many different currents/agendas etc and you can’t please them all anyway.

Thanks Justice!

Ed,
It was a great interview. I enjoyed my morning coffee listening.
Your “take” on the market and business in general is why I start my day on your site.
Cheers,
Bruce

Thanks for posting the interview! I enjoyed our chat and look forward to future conversations. . .

Fard -
Please consider making the Scribe Media interviews available via audio podcast as well as video podcast. In the iTunes network, they are only available as video and thus, are “unplayable” on some of the more commonly used portable media players.
Thanks for the interview, JM

Worst. Interview. Ever.
“Unless they’re in a crappy mood and they want to argue, and I see that on the site, too.”
You do not! We don’t argue here!
Ahem. I think in the interest of balance, however, Fard should have also interviewed someone who’s opposed to sharing opinions on healthcare online. But he’s biased, no doubt, by the money he makes promoting digital content and media.

Ed,
Very good interview. You of course are right on what you said about where the pharma industry will be ten years from now - sad but true…However, carry on we must - who knows, maybe we can change it..
