Shortly after investors dumped Merck stock yesterday in response to an analyst report that sales of the HPV vaccine were expected to be disappointing this year, another bit of bad publicity appeared on CBS News last night. Side effect reports are generating a groundswell of concern, although both Merck and the CDC continue to maintain the vaccine is safe and effective.

Should read what the family posted, they do not blame the drug; she may have had a genetic predisposition.
Once again people want to make a poor girl’s condition the poster case for anti-pharma.

Hmmm…they don’t not blame the drug either. I think they’re keeping their options open rather than getting boxed-in to one particular explanation of their daughter’s illness. They don’t care what did it, at the moment, but only what will cure her.
