Ranfaxine (generic Efexor by Ranbaxy) was given to me whilst i was within a 75mg (from 150mg) reduction for discontinuation.
Already in a severe withdrawal. mental and physically!
This generic made me worse within hours of taking, i stuck at it five days, believing it me, not the drug.
When too sick, headachey, with symptoms had becoming brutally worse, and eye co ordination beyond tolerability i went back to the chemist and switched to my usual generic 'Winfex' within a day and a half i was back to the 'predictable withdrawal' (albeit brutal in itself).
I looked up this drug.
1. Non bioequivilent
2. Costs several £s less
this is a disgrace. Cheap and nasty understatement

For all of the above folks asking questions about the availability of certain drugs, they are all available from multiple generic manufacturers. Check with your pharmacist and he/she should be able to provide for an alternate supplier. If you're interested, go to FDA.gov, click on the link for New Drug Approvals, and type in the name of your drug. You should be able to pull up a screen listing all of the approved ANDA's (approved generics) for your particular drug of interest.

I live in Madison WI, My 40 mg furosimide made by Ranbaxy which I had recently switched to because of switching pharmacies was not working and I was increasingly retaining fluid. Returned to a pill from another manufacturer and lost 5 pounds in 6 hours, Told my pharmacist, who ordered from the other company to keep me happy, but said he adn't had any other complaints. Four other women using 3 other pharmacies here in Madison since I have started asking around are reporting problems too. Doubling dose not helping. Doctors and pharmacists don't want to believe them, but are maybe starting to be believed when they can tell them that there are others. The one woman who takes two 40 mg pills 2x a day could not urinate at all.

I could not find a list of the products: the FDA warning label is REDACTED. Is this protecting the Public Safety.
