Hello, everyone. We had the opportunity to visit our favorite physician yesterday for our annual tune-up and are happy to report that we are still very much with you. Even more gratifying - no sales rep cut us in line. To celebrate, we are brewing our usual cup of stimulation and offering you a few tidbits. Hope you have a pleaseant weekend…

Glad you’re well.
By the way when you were at your physician’s office were there any of those ubiquitous closed circuit ‘health’ shows on a monitor?
I would like to learn more about the usage and impact of these disease information shows.
Plus I was just in for my check up also and they’re now filling prescriptions in the office. While this may be legal it certainly strikes me as not in the patient’s best interest for several reasons. These include lack of a secondary review, inability to check interactions against other meds from other practitioners, and probably most important the likelihood that when you’re in for a refill that you’ll ask about some other minor thing (possibly muscle aches after you’ve just seen the fibromyalgia show on the monitor) and get prescribed even more meds that you may not need.

I guess I’m as well as can be expected, although I suspect I’m rotting from the inside out. Anyway, no, my GP is old-fashioned - there is no TV set at all. Praise the lord and pass the free samples! Seriously, why don’t you go to a pharmacy to fill the scrip?

But I do go to a pharmacy, and I won’t even use mail order.
When I see things like the ads, etc. in my physician’s office it makes me wonder whether they really have my interests at heart.
I think I may look for a new physician.
Plus aren’t we all rotting from the inside out? I guess the question is often times is the cure worse than the disease?
