Hired someone new and exciting? Promoted a rising star? Finally solved that hard-to-fill spot? Share the news with us and we’ll share with it others. That’s right. Send us your announcements and we’ll find a home for them. Don’t be shy. Everyone wants to know who is coming and going, especially with all the layoffs. Despite the downsizing, there is movement. Here are some of the latest changes. Recognize anyone?
And here’s a new approach we hope to make a regular feature. Send us a photo and we will spotlight a different person each week. This time around, we note that Surface Logix hired Keith Dionne as ceo and president (see photo). He was previously ceo at Alantos Pharmaceuticals, where he sold the company to Amgen for more than $300 million in cash. Prior to Alantos, Dionne held senior-level positions at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, including most recently vp of R&D strategy.
CyDex Pharma promoted Ted Odlaug to ceo and president;
Antares Pharma named Leonard Jacob as chairman of the board;
Cordis hired Carl St. Bernard as vp US sales and marketing;
Cordis named Paul Chang to vp worldwide clinical research and operations;
Cordis hired Ryan Saadi as vp health economics and reimbursement;
A-Bio Pharma hired Steven Lee as its new ceo;
Milestone Scientific named Joe D’Agostino as cfo;
Pharmasset hired Richard Smith as vp of investor relations and public relations;
Alkermes elected David Anstice to its board of directors;
Horizon Therapeutics named Robert De Vaere executive vp and cfo;
Temple University’s School of Pharmacy hired Wyeth’s Magid Abou-Gharbia as director of the Center for Drug Discovery Research.
