Nice Christmas Gift Novartis gave to themselves. This has less to do with Gist patients, it has to do with protecting their patent on Gleevec.
The drug has been used for this since before it got FDA approval for CML..
It doesn’t cure, it extends lives a bit - great, but of course there doesn’t seem to be much going on to address the patients who no longer benefit from this drug.
3 billion dollars buys a lot of favors to protect the market. Bad Karma….
