Pfizer hired Bradley Lerman as senior vp of litigation and he will report to Amy Schulamn, senior vp and general counsel. For the past 10 years, Lerman was litigation partner at Winston & Strawn in Chicago, where he concentrated his practice in white-collar defense, product liability and securities litigation. matters. During his tenure, he served as lead counsel for McDonald’s and steered obesity litigation, and represented Phillip Morris in smoking and health care litigation.
Glaxo agreed to pay $36.5 million for Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Pakistani business, which includes a portfolio of more than 30 pharmaceutical brands, including antibiotics, vitamins and dermatology products. Total sales of the portfolio in 2007 were about $19 million. Earlier this year, Glaxo bought a batch of drugs from Bristol-Myers Squibb in Egypt.
