What’s more disturbing is that many doctors who have lost their prescribing privileges in other states seem to be able to retain privileges in Florida. They do not even maintain their primary residence in Florida.

One more thing. I checked the date on a story Ed posted on Florida investigating the over prescribing of antipsychotics to kids and it was in May 2008, more than a year before Gabriel died.

It won’t make any difference no matter what monitoring programs they set up.

They’ve supposedly had a program set up in Florida for years and the quack who prescribed the drugs to Gabriel Meyers was on it for years.

The sickest aspect to this story is that when Gabriel’s doctor was interviewed he said did not even remember the child.
