These two physicians represent only a small minority (2 of 19 members) of the committee. Their potential biases based on monetary payments are fully transparent (as opposed to those whose biases are not financially based). They have firsthand knowledge of how these relationships works (both pros and cons) which adds perspective to the discussion. Isn’t this exactly what should happen?
