Hired someone new and exciting? Promoted a rising star? Finally solved that hard-to-fill spot? Share the news with us and we’ll share with it others. That’s right. Send us your announcements and we’ll find a home for them. Don’t be shy. Everyone wants to know who is coming and going, especially with all the layoffs. Despite the downsizing, there is movement. Here are some of the latest changes. Recognize anyone?
And here is something we hope to make a regular feature. Send us a photo (something nice, please) and we will spotlight a different person each week. This time around, we note that Concert Pharmaceuticals hired Steven Weissman (yes, that’s him to the right) as associate director, process chemistry. Before joining Concert, he worked at Merck Research Laboratories as a senior investigator.
Vical hired Richard Kenney as vp clinical development;
JDP Therapeutics Joshua Tarnoff as ceo;
Prologue has appointed Art Ziegler as vp of business development;
Fleishman-Hillard tapped Richard Marsh as EMEA healthcare chief;
Talecris Biotherapeutics named Drayton Virkler sr director of investor relations;
Patheon hired Peter Bigelow as president of North American operations;
Traversa Therapeutics hired Curt Bradshaw as R&D vp;
Pharminox appointed Iain Ross as non-executive chairman;
General Atlantic named Brent Saunders a special advisor to its healthcare practice;
MDS named Steve West as ceo;
Heidrick & Struggles says Ira Isaacson is a partner in its global life sciences practice;
Association of Clinical Research Organizations elected Bill Sharbaugh of PPD, as its 2010 chair.
