And so the week is gradually coming to an end. Most likely, many of you will celebrate, given the disruptive snowstorms in many parts of the U.S., which by the way, has a long weekend. What will you do? Go sledding? Walk the dog? Read a book? We have a long list. Whatever you do, we hope you have a relaxing and productive time. Meanwhile, here are a few items to help you through the day. Enjoy, everyone…

I know one person that said he will tell his doctor that he doesn’t want his info in the database. Otherwise he will no longer go. Period.

Advised to quit smoking (the video says).
Advised to lose weight?
Advised to take statins?
Advised to eat more vegetables?
Advised to seek counseling?
Advised to give up alcohol?
Do you have Hepatitis? Erectile Disorder? Eating disorder? Insomnia? Are you having a bout of the blues? How many cups of coffee do you drink a day? How’s your oral hygiene? Ever had an STD? Have tachycardia? Getting dizzy? Miscarried? Arthritis? AIDS?
Do you trust this government with your information?
DO YOU TRUST EVERY FUTURE GOVERNMENT WITH IT?
Do you know that eugenics was once approved by the Supreme Court for epileptics & “imbeciles”? Think it couldn’t happen today? Do you believe in it? Plenty of people still do. Read this article and the comments following it (ugly).

(pssst, there are no other people with epilepsy in my family tree)
Understand my concern? Ya still want your kid labeled as one of the new mental defectives?
Do you think insurers can refuse to cover you at the same level if you weigh the risks/benefits of a treatment and decline?
(everyone has something eventually)
How hard will it be to hack the system?
If someone hires a PI can he get ahold of it?
Can a potential employer get it?
Will you still be as open with your doctor?
What’s done is done and I suppose there is no point in mentioning it.
(GE we bring good things to light)
Thoughts?

JaT: I could not agree more. The doctor patient relationship has been violated to the extent that patient privacy no longer exists. The system shows no sign of changing, either. With Big Insurance and Big Pharma calling the tune in Washington, the prospects look very bleak indeed! This is one of the many things that is horribly wrong with healthcare in this country…of course, there’s much more.
