Perhaps such a system of price controls on drug prices would work in other countries too. Drug companies have effectively "taken over the world". They influence every government and every aspect of our lives. Isn't it time the pharmaceutical cartel was reigned-in? Enough already with the "innovations". Personally, I'd be happy with just safe drugs and prices which are affordable. Let the universities and government labs discover new drugs, independent of pharma...perhaps, with government subsidies to support research. Hey, Putin may be on the right track here.
