Hired someone new and exciting? Promoted a rising star? Finally solved that hard-to-fill spot? Share the news with us and we’ll share with it others. That’s right. Send us your announcements and we’ll find a home for them. Don’t be shy. Everyone wants to know who is coming and going, especially with all the layoffs. Despite the downsizing, there is movement. Here are some of the latest changes. Recognize anyone?
And here is something that’s become a regular feature. Send us a photo and we will spotlight a different person each week. This time around, we note that the Biomedical Research Alliance of New York hired Carmela Houston-Henry as business development director. Prior to joining BRANY, she was
a senior manager for corporate clinical research at Bracco Diagnostics, and also worked at EZEM and Forest Laboratories.
And since we have an abundance of head shots this week, we also see that the National Pharmaceutical Council hired Robert Dubois as its chief science officer to oversee research on health policy issues related to evidence-based medicine, comparative effectiveness review and the value of improved health outcomes. Previously, he was chief medical officer at Cerner LifeSciences and co-founded Protocare Sciences, where he was ceo and, at one point, chief medical officer.
Ancora Pharmaceuticals added Florian Schodel as a scientific advisor;
PPD hired Andreas Tschirky to head its BioDuro unit in China;
Transdel Pharmaceuticals hired John Bonfiglio as ceo and president;
Achillion Pharma promoted Mary Kay Fenton to sr vp;
AstraZeneca named Martin Wright as regional vp for Japan;
