Pharmalot… Pharmalittle… The Weekend Nears
3 CommentsBy Ed Silverman // February 4th, 2011 // 7:53 am
And so, another working week will soon draw to a close. This means, of course, that we can begin daydreaming about weekend activities. Our agenda includes taking the shortest of short people to the bowling alley, watching a big soccer match from the UK with short person No. 2 and dining out with Mrs. Pharmalot, not necessarily in that order. What about you? Catch up on some reading, perhaps, or maybe take in a good movie? What about visiting the hardware store to replace your worn out shovel? Whatever you do, have a good time and be safe. Meanwhile, here are some tidbits. See you soon…

What, Mr Ed? No reference to “the football game” this weekend? Or will you be out shopping or dining without any competition?

Searching, the game of soccer is known outside of the US as football. Only in the US is it called “soccer”. Thus, Ed will indeed be watching football this weekend.

I “sit” corrected - as well as guilty of reading Ed’s post too quickly on a BlackBerry. It should have been “the American football game this Sunday” as opposed to REAL “fooootball.” [phonetic interpretation]
