Pharmalot… Pharmalittle… The Weekend Nears
4 CommentsBy Ed Silverman // November 18th, 2011 // 7:54 am
Once again, another working week is about to draw to a close, and not a moment too soon. This is, of course, our treasured signal to daydream about weekend plans. As always, we hope to catch up on some reading and spend time with our assorted short people, but there is also lot of raking and other chores to do. And you? This may be a good time to clean the house for the holiday or hunt for a turkey (rifle or credit card? you decide). Or maybe you can find a way to stimulate what is left of the economy. Whatever you do, have a grand time. And be safe. See you soon…

“Under laws amended in February, making fake medicines is now a crime. Authorities previously had to show that products were harmful to human health. Suppliers can be arrested for carrying any quantity after the limit on fines was removed, and those convicted face as much as life in prison or execution.”

About Bayer and heroin - If memory serves me correctly, when cocaine addicition became a problem in the 19th century, a “miracle cure” for the problem was announced … heroin.
Histroy sometimes sounds so … contemporary - at least when it comes to discovering the side effects.

Today, instead of giving opiates to kids we’re giving them to their pregnant mothers so that the kids are born with these drugs in their systems and have to be treated with opiates to block withdrawal.

Searching2000 is onto something…instead of heroin, pharma pushes all manner of dangerous psychotropic drugs on children.
