This time around, we note that GCI Health public relations hired Kim Sammons as senior vice president and deputy director of the Atlanta office. Most recently, Sammons served as vice president at For Momentum, which specializes in so-called cause marketing.

Rheonix named Tom Karpen as vp of operations;
Rheonix named Terry Howell as quality manager;
Unigene Labs added Tom Sabatino to its board;
Futura Medical named John Clarke non-executive chairman;
Heptares Therapeutics named Daniel Grau as president;
ContraFect hired David Huang as chief medical officer;
Merck KGgA hired Joachim Christ as head of corporate controlling;
MTI hired Ken DePinto as vp, strategic services;
Pharmalink elected Anders Wiklund as board chairman;
Pharmalink added Elisabeth Lindner to its board;
Catalyst Pharma named Richard Rieger as vp, commercial operations;
Ventus Medical hired Sandra Gardiner as vp and cfo;
Ventus Medical hired Michael Lopez as vp of operations;
Oncolytics Biotech named Gerard Kennealey sr vp of clinical development.
