Regarding Senator Schumer’s concern over robberies to get the new super painkillers containing hydrocodone - it would be nice to see him, and others in Congress, similarly excercised over the murders and suicides caused as a result of akithisia from the SSRI antidepressants. Yet this evidence is often swept under the rug, and the media seldom go after it. Let alone the Congress….in the current round of PDUFA Reauthorization talks, it appears that there will be no new initiatives in the realm of prescription drug safety. In 2007, all such proposals were removed from the bill that passed thanks to pharma’s uber-muscular lobby. In the Senate, the vote was 99-1.

May I observe that when you say “updated throughout the morning” - you aren’t kidding!
Perhaps you should rename this section “PharmaLARGE” ….?
